I have been with http://www.apthost.com for about 3 months now and there service has been really awesome. I couldnt ask for anything more with their support and uptime. they offer a free trial so I recommend you check them out
Thanks Richard. I see that they only offer SSH access with their higher-priced plans, which might put some people off, but it’s good to hear they’re working well for you.
I have had great results from ASmallOrange.com in Atlanta. They are in the same data center as VPSLand but they are not affiliated with one another. They have SSH though I’m not sure they mention it on their site. I just asked and they enabled it for me in five minutes or so.
Their service and support has been great. Techs speak English and write coherent and thorough replies to each ticket. They don’t outsource their tech support. The owner is a Georgia Tech Grad.
For anyone looking for VMware Hosting in Australia there is a group a lot cheaper than Macquarie. It is http://www.criticalops.com.au/ – they also do VPS. They’re not as cheap as some of the other ones listed here though. But I do get a sense they are well established and their support has been most helpful. VMware servers are pretty cool – so much cheaper than a dedicated server and exactly the same. I went from spending about $1000 monthly to around $200 monthly – yay!
